Production Notes:
---------------------------------------------------------------
Captured live at the Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa on November 4, 2004. This
is sourced from three different audio sources. Two of the sources are
digital clones and one is an audience video soundtrack. The video soundtrack
comprises the Rear channel in this 5.1 mix and each of the digital clone
sources were mixed for the Center and the Left/Right channels respectively.
The audio quality is pretty good, but all the sources were only lacking
detail in the midrange. One can also hear a good deal of venue in the
sources which explains the lack of midrange detail. The bass is very tight
and detailed with surprising impact slam. Still, the 5.1 mix actually sounds
better than any of the sources sound by themselves. This DTS 5.1 mix is the
down sampled (16/44.1) version of the DVD-Audio mix (16/48).
The show is nearly complete except for an edit during Sammy's solo segment.
The video soundtrack had a tape flip in that segment, so rear channel part
of the mix will disappear for 1:31 during "Sammy's Guitar Solo". All
channels where volume balanced using an SPL meter. So if your system is set
up correctly, it should sound well balanced.
The video was encoded as MPeg2 at a constant bit rate of 8000kbps, the
highest rate allowed. All MPeg2 compression parameters were set at the
highest quality settings possible. The audio was digitally remastered as
16bit / 48khz wave format audio. The audio was then encoded at 448kbps for
the 2.0 Dolby Digital stereo soundtrack and at 448kbps for the 5.1 Dolby
Digital surround soundtrack, the highest rates allowed. Every effort was
made for this production to ensure the highest quality output possible.

Trading Notes:
---------------------------------------------------------------
This show is also available as a 2 dvd video set complete with 2.0 stereo
and 5.1 surround soundtracks, a DVD-Audio with a full bandwidth 2.0 stereo
soundtrack and a full bandwidth, uncompressed 5.1 surround soundtrack, and
lastly as a stereo CD set. So no matter what play back equipment you have,
the bases are covered. The MD5 checksums are included to verify the
integrity of the files being traded with the original pre-distribution
