Wow, if you though E2E was good, check this recording out. It actually sounds better if you can believe it. All the instruments are extremely clear and you can hear all the little nuances very clearly. Geddy's voice can get a little buried at times, but not enough that it would be distracting. Geddy has a lot of fun with the synths tonight as he adds a lot of subtle differences to the songs, almost like he is experimenting with it on stage. It makes for some very interesting variations on some classic Rush anthems. A very highly recommend show, really it should be a must have. Once again, many thanks to Ron for this excellent source. As with all Digital Reproductions recordings, it's only available via free trade and never for sale. Just visit the trading links section to find people that will gladly trade this recording for free.    (1999-06-11)

This is another good GUP show! Could be interchanged with the Experience to Extremes show as far as quality goes. Except for a few times where the sound gets softer (either the taper turned from the speakers, or hid the mics??) Nothing extremely spectacular happens except the boys take a few liberties during Tom Sawyer (or they get a bit lost???) This has the normal setlist for the tour. Afterimage instead of Kid Gloves, however. Highly recommended!    (1999-04-01)

Ron's Rush RoIO Review

This phenomenal GUP show comes from only one week into the new tour. The setlist didn’t change much this tour -- only Afterimage was dropped to make room for Kid Gloves. The songs sound pretty much as they would for the whole tour, but this show features a rare screw-up in Tom Sawyer. It sounds like Alex forgets where in the song he is, but the boys quickly compensate. This is the best-sounding full GUP show out there. Every nuance can be heard as clear as a bell. Due to some quiet coughing near the mike, I think this is an audience source. This tape needs a small amount of EQ to lower the highs a bit, but that’s it. Also, there are no cuts. A truly awesome ROIO.   (1999-04-01)

I was at this show 20 years ago and am listening to it "again" for the first time. I will never forget the feeling I had at this show and I am feeling the exact same way again. Pure magic! Thank you Clark for helping me to re-live the past again. Mike   (2004-10-20)
