| Notes |
This production was sourced for
the original analog master tapes. The sound starts off pretty distant,
compressed to the midrange, and with a lot of crowd noise. Also during the
first few tracks there is an individual doing shrill whistles that makes you
wish you could haul off and whack him some. But that eventually ceases and
only the deafening roar of the crowd remains, the tapers themselves are very
well behaved. About 40 minutes into the show, the sound quality really
improves dramatically and becomes the best sounding show from this short
tour. La Villa has a very strange into during this show, worth hearing for
that. Geddy also asks the crowd to help wish happy birthday for the
soundman. There are cuts in Broon's Bane and one in the Trees, and a cut
between In the Mood and Grand Finale, but they are relatively short. This is
a more complete source than "Live in Lakeland" with fewer cuts. No noise or
hiss reduction was used on this production. |
