| Notes |
What is NAMM Double Remaster? It is a CD containing two versions of the
Liquid Tension Experiment performance at NAMM on January 30, 1999. The
previously available version had many dropouts and was edited, leaving out
segments of the show. A new complete version of this show is now available
and is used for this CD: The first half of this CD is the complete
performance remastered from a first generation VHS stereo recording. The
quality is outstanding. The second half is a remastered version of the
previously available recordings. Dropouts, distortions and miss-tracking
have been corrected. The two versions have different acoustic
characteristics providing a rare opportunity to hear the same live
performance from two different acoustic points of view. In The second half,
the edited segments were not resterd and, in fact, the Mike and Tony
improvisation segment had to be removed to fit the time constraints of a
single CD. Overall, an excellent recording of four impressive musicians. |
