Notes Matrix was done using Cool Edit Pro. Source 2 ended up being slightly slower than source 1.  Don't ask me how because both were digitally recorded... (factor 99.978 in case anyone wants to know) I did a little bit of level adjusting and moved source 2 a bit to the right to maximize the stereo effect.

As it turns out, source 1 has a nice bass and nice high end. But is lacking the guitars and keyboard a bit.  I didn't think that it sounded all that bad because the recording sounded just like the concert did in my ears.  The show sounded quite a bit different from 4th row apparently because source 2 sounds totally different. Source 2 has the guitars and keys right up front, but is lacking the low-end. The 2 sources complement eachother nicely.

Because the first source has been available for a bit now and I knew that a second source was going to surface (BurnBoy and I went for beers before AND after the show :-)) I knew that a matrix was going to be likely.  Several people took the time to make some artwork for Source 1. Thank you for that.

Simon_LDT (aka Liquid Drum Theater) Took the time to create some AWESOME artwork, which has been included in this torrent.  Simon_LDT wishes to thank BurnBoy, Optional Player, Duke and Jeffroo for proving photos for the artwork.  So, a big THANK YOU goes out to him for his very nice work!!!

I traveled about 2000 miles to attend this show and don't regret it one bit.  I was secretly hoping that they would play a Rush tune.  And my "prayers" were answered!!!  My personal favorites of this show are Afterlife, Under A Glass Moon, Octavarium (WOW!!) Jacob's Ladder and the amazing version of Learning To Live with an extended instrumental part.

I was a bit disappointed when the band left the stage after doing a second set of 50 mins.  And I though "They will never do an encore of more than 24 minutes". Well, I regretted THAT assumption... They did Jacob's Ladder, Wait For Sleep AND an extended version of Learning To Live.  During Jacobs Ladder I actually said out loud OMFG (not the letters!).  I don't think I said it loud enough for the mics to pick it up though :-)

* Unfortunately, I had to switch discs during Learning To Live. I missed 36 seconds.  "burnboy" was kind enough to make his source available so I could patch up my recording.  I tried my best to make them sound similar but wasn't really able to pull it off.  I ended up doing a cross-fade. You can tell, but at least it is complete!

As it turns out, burnboy's recording has quite a different sound from this one.  His recording has the guitars right up front with very little low end.
Where this recording has lots of bass and high-end and the guitar is more "mixed in".  He was fairly close to the stage, I was about 8 feet from the soundboard.  I quite like how it turned out. You be the judge.
I posted "Jacob's Ladder" on MP.com and received a lot of positive comments on the quality.  During the first set I was standing next to someone with a very loud clap. Thank goodness he mostly only did it at the end of the songs or when Mike or James tried to get the audience to clap along.  After the second set I moved a row forward.  This was my second time recording with this rig. This one turned out better than the first one.  I turned down the volume on the MD from 30(max) to 27 and didn't have any bass distortion this time :-)

In the process of creating the "patch" I noticed that I can actually make the 2 sources TOGETHER sound REALLY nice.  I will work on a matrix when I can find the time. I will post a sample of the matrix I created so far by just farting around.

Enjoy the show! I know I did!!!
