| Notes |
I did a lot of playing around with these sources... well,
"playing" isn't the word I would like to use...I'm not sure HOW (keeping in
mind that both sources are DIGITAL), but the sources were not the same
speed. It has been pointed out to me that could have happened when one of
the sources was transferred from the device to the harddrive
(cough--compression--cough).
It provided me with many hours of entertainment as it was a major pain in
the behind to synch them. The one source is slightly less than 0.0013%
faster than the other. And THAT was the highest accuracy the app whould do.
Since the one source had a big-time fan on the right side that felt the need
to narrerate most of the show, and when he wasn't doing that, he was singing
(?) along at the top of his lungs.
I also did some fades where appropriate and removed the "windows media
sound" that was on "Caught in A Web" on the one source.
I pushed the balance of that source to the left and lowered the levels a bit
(levels were higher than the other source) and pushed the balance of the
other source to the right, making up for the loss of sound. With the result
that there is a really neat stereo effect. Try listening to this mix with
headphones!!!
After the mixdown, I normalized both left and right to 80% and then boosted
highs and lows a bit. It turned out quite nice and punchy (IMO)
