Notes The sound on this show is incredible. Very strong and powerful. The bass is up in the mix and sounds great.
I love that the band went back to Celebrity Theater. The sound is SO much better than at The Web Theater. Plus the Celebrity is "in the round", so there's really not a bad seat in the house. It is a nice, intimate venue that lets you really enjoy the show and be up close to the band. I saw my very first DT show here when they did the US opener for SFAM (Which from what I've been told is a future Grateful Dreams release.) The crowd sounds really into the show and are having a great time. The Zappa improv was incredible. Hollow Years has been a nice addition on this tour. Then the headbanging begins! WIMH, TTTSTA, ES, NM! Damn. I personally will never get tired of hearing the back-to-back throw down of WIMH & TTTSTA. After the usual 15 minute intermission, or a CD change in this case, they were back with a perfect second set and encore. They broke out A Mind Beside Itself, pounded out In The Name Of God, then gave the Phoenix fans something to remember by laying out A Change of Seasons in it's entirety. Most of the crowd seemed clueless at first as to what was coming, but once the first notes played, it was on. This is an incredible concert and a must have for any collection.

I give this a solid A rating.

Hey, did someone fart?
