| Notes |
This is a remaster version of
infamous one-and-only DT concert which is Steve Stone on vocal. Sourced
unknown gen. cassette copy and the sound quality is VERY BAD. Seems very
high-gen. and has much hiss and several other noises absolutely not on the
master tape. This gen-ed source has three cuts at about 30', 45' and '60 so
it clearly tells it was copied on 60 mins and 90 mins tapes in the lineage.
And on the before and after cut are quite different in sound quality,
particularly the existance of noise on the left channel. This indicate that
someone made a bad copy with bad equipment which generate some noise on
the left channel.
Anyways, reduced all noises by all possible means such as noise reduction,
EQ, and some cut and paste from better sounding channel to the other. Also,
because there're overlapped region before and after the cut, it was possible
to join some gaps at 30' and 60' so there're no gaps on ACOS and Metropolis.
Furthermore, patched gap on Ytsejam (at about 20') with other place, so
there is virtually no gap on the songs.
Well, this show have circulated as .shn form on DC hub etc. and I got the
version in 2005. Then I was very surprised about that... it is a copy of my
old tape>cdr conversion made in 1999 ! I made the cdr copy for myself but
surely made a single copy to one american DT trader once... the signature is
very raugh track splitting. That time I could not edit sound data on PC so
made track spilit point on stand-alone CD-Recorder by real-time editing,
during the recording. So, I had not imagined that such bum copy have traded.
What a shame !
So, here is proper remaster version of the same source. Still not
enojoynable quality but prubably better than before. Hope everyone replace
my old crappy product with this.
