A Touch of Blessing (6:00) Notes: This isn't the greatest recording in the world, but given the circumstance it's truly not that bad. This was recorded literally three feet directly in front of the stage right stack. My mics may have been able to handle it decently, but my ears were ringing well into the next evening, and as an aside I really need to stop forgetting my ear plugs. Sound is loud and distorted at the beginning of the intro and first song as I had to adjust levels both times. I had come from the balcony right before Evergrey's set and got on the rail on the left hand side, which says sad things about the shows attendance. He I turned down my mic gain and upped the recording volume this probably would have turned out better, but I wasn't really thinking about the huge volume difference I was facing when I made my trip to the front. For being up front at this venue I have to say Evergrey's sound was actually surprisingly good for the evening. The recording has no anomolies, unless you count guitars blaring into the mics at 563456dbs an anomolie. I got a setlist after the show and it seems Nosferatu and I'm Sorry had to be cut for some reason. Please do not sell this show or convert to lossy formats. Nickeh (www.nickeh.com)
